Emilio played a critical role in the transformation of Saúl E. Méndez, turning it into a successful lifestyle brand in Guatemala and striking an unusual balance between the latest world trends and local character. Saúl E. Méndez started as a small clothing store and has now become a corporation with different businesses ranging from specialized men’s clothing stores to restaurants and one of the most well-known brands in Guatemala. Beyond the business environment, he has led urban transformation projects, including 4 Grados Norte, and a civic movement known as GuateÁmala. Founded in 2004 by several local leaders, GuateÁmala comprises many projects and activities designed to improve how Guatemalan citizens view themselves, their country, and their future. Emilio also created Despierta Guatemala, which provides people who want to make a positive change in the country opportunities to join forces. He is author of the book Totalmente On.
