Profile

Helmuth is the dean of the UFM School of Business. He is the research director of the Burkenroad Reports for Guatemala and Central America, and adjunct professor of Firm Valuation and Financial Management at Tulane University. Co-founder of Blastos, a crowdfunding platform focused in agricultural land. He is a member of the Board of the Guatemalan Council for Competitiveness (CPC); member of the board at Campus Tec, a technology startup hub in Guatemala; researcher and author of publications focused on finance and entrepreneurship in emerging markets.

Helmuth has an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry Engineering from ITESM –Mexico-, MBA from PUC –Chile-, Master in Capital Markets and Asset Management from IEB –Spain-, Master in Management from UFM –Guatemala-, Mater in Management from Tulane University, Master of Economics –candidate- from UFM Guatemala and a Ph.D in Finance from Tulane University.
