Eric Zarakov
Advisory Board Member at Carjojo Corp.With over 25 years of technical and marketing experience from the Silicon Valley high technology industry, Mr. Zarakov relocated to Guatemala 5 years ago as General Manager for Grupo Desidero to focus his attention on sustainable agro/energy development. Prior to his current position, his professional focus had been in digital camera and computing technologies. He is a Board Member, Mentor and Facilitator of the Heuristica Entrepreneurial Program at UFM, advisory board member of Asocciacion TEC, Guatemala and advisory board member of CarJoJo, a new start up in Silicon Valley.
A 13 year veteran of Apple Computer, he worked as an engineer on the very first Macintosh, and many of Apple’s digital imaging products – including Apple’s first digital camera and the development of Apple’s QuickTime VR products. He later held executive positions in a number of pioneering digital imaging technology start-up companies and marketing communications firms. He is listed as co- inventor on 3 patents and received a B.A. in Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego in 1980.
