Arthur Chait
President of the Antigua Forum

Mr. Chait is the current President of the Antigua Forum.  The Forum, a project of Universidad Francisco Marroquín in Guatemala, is an exclusive annual gathering of highly leveraged political reformers, entrepreneurs and other leaders from around the world who are dedicated to advancing market-liberal reforms.

Mr. Chait is the Founder and past Chairman and CEO of EoPlex Inc., where he led development of a new type of 3D printing that allowed mass production of a breakthrough semiconductor mounting technology.  This technology dramatically improved performance and eliminated waste resulting in an environmentally friendly process that won many “green” awards.  The company was backed by investors that included: Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Labrador Ventures, Draper Richards, and ATA Ventures. EoPlex was acquired by the Singapore company ASTI Holdings in 2012. Mr. Chait managed the technology transfer and transition process for ASTI including setting up a new factory in Malaysia.

Mr. Chait’s past experience includes senior management positions in both technology companies and major consulting firms.  His industrial experience includes: SVP Solectron/Flextronics, the contract manufacturing company, where he was responsible for all Global Accounts and helped grow sales to $20 billion/year; General Manager at Zitel Inc., where he was responsible for creating and growing the first software remediation division; and Dresser Industries, where he was Director of R&D in advanced materials.  His consulting experience includes: SVP Global Consulting at Stanford Research Institute, where he reorganized operations and increased profitability; Director in the Strategy Practice at Booz Allen & Hamilton, where he consulted to major clients like GE, Allied, Asahi and Sony; and SVP at The PA Consulting Group (UK), where he established US consulting operations.

Mr. Chait is also an Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at Notre Dame de Namur University near San Francisco,  a Mentor at Stanford University’s StartX incubator, and a private investor. He holds a BS degree in Materials Engineering from Rutgers University and is a member of the Keramos honor society.  His MBA is in strategy from the University of Pittsburgh.  He is a recipient of the Steinmetz Medal from the GE Corporation. Mr. Chait has served on several Boards of Directors and was also Chairman of the Board at the Challenge Learning Center, an organization that utilizes experiential education to help young people who are at serious risk.
