Alex is a passionate entrepreneur and an active investor. His business ventures include a Central American retail chain, a commercial real estate project, an investment fund in shipping and a multinational telecom services company with global operations.
Alex is currently the chairman and CEO of Televida Group, a company that operates in the telecom value added services industry.
Together with his brother Ilias, Alex founded the Poulias Foundation. Its goal is to help develop young Guatemalan children with leadership qualities living at or below the poverty line, in tomorrow’s agents of positive impact.
Alex graduated from Princeton University with BA in Comparative Literature. After working as an investment banker with Salomon Brothers, Alex received his MBA from Harvard Business School in 2001.
Born and raised in Athens Greece, Alex is fluent in Spanish, English, French and Greek. He teaches in the Acton MBA program in Guatemala and is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization. He loves sports and believes in the balance of a healthy mind in a healthy body.
