Alex Guo
Ph.D Candidate, EECS, MIT

Alex Guo is a fifth year PhD student in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department at MIT. She received her B.S. with honors from UC Berkeley in 2010 and S.M. from MIT in 2012, both in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Alex is a NDSEG research fellow and she works for Prof. del Alamo in the Microsystems Technology Laboratories at MIT. She is currently investigating the reliability issues in GaN power electronics. Alex served as the Vice President of MIT Graduate Student Council (2013-2014), representing the position of the student body to MIT administrators. She is also a Graduate Community Fellow at MIT working on issues related to graduate student support. In her spare time, Alex enjoys exercising, socializing, and exploring Boston.

This is Alex’s third year on the GSW organizing team. She was part of the marketing team and the Fashion Panel organizer for GSW 2014 in Morocco and GSW 2013 in Estonia.
