Agriculture accounts for a significant portion of the GDP in many developing countries including Guatemala. However, entrepreneurship has been growing rather slowly in this sector. There is currently a lot of excitement about technologies like using drones for agriculture, leveraging real-time data for farming, and growing organic and sustainable foods. In this panel, experts both from the US and Guatemala will discuss how new technologies are being brought to farming, current challenges in innovating in agriculture, exciting trends and startups in the agriculture space, and what this means for agriculture in Guatemala.
