Youssef Hassar, is a young Moroccan entrepreneur who is passionate about the internet industry. Youssef grew up in Morocco, and moved to the United States for 7 years after High School, in Texas, Virginia and California, where he studied Management Information Systems and Telecommunications. He also worked for 2 years as an internet specialist in charge of search engine optimization and online marketing for a ticket broker in Los Angeles.  He then decided to move back home for a few months to start his own company, a web portal for Morocco, and also worked as a consultant for a bank in online banking.

In January 2008, he moved to Paris to work at Vivendi in online and mobile marketing for a year for the French and Belgium market, then as a Senior manager at Canal+, the leading pay TV network in France and in Africa. At Canal+ he was in charge of business development and distribution for the Middle East and for Africa.  He was then director of development at a UAE based pay TV network in charge of North Africa.

In June 2012, he decided with one of his best friends to build http://www.MesCadeaux.ma, an e-commerce website dedicated to gifts.  The website was launched in August 2013, and received a couple of awards (Top 3 start up in the MENA region and People’s choice award by Arabnet in Riyadh in 2013, and best e-commerce website in Morocco by Maroc Web Awards).

In his spare time, Youssef likes to read about entrepreneurship and e-commerce and loves to travel to new countries.
