Rami Habal is an entrepreneur and investor. He has deep business and technical experience in building mobile, big data and machine learning products that deliver delightful experiences and value to consumers, organizations and markets.  He was more recently the VP of Product at Reverb, a provider of mobile apps enabling consumers to discover the news they want to read using sophisticated recommendation and personalization technology. Prior to Reverb, Rami was with cloud security leader Proofpoint (NASDAQ: PFPT), where he was an early employee and instrumental in growing the business to an IPO filing, holding various product and marketing roles. Prior to Proofpoint, Rami worked at Mohr Davidow Ventures in early stage venture investing where he advised seed stage startups. He has also worked at Cisco’s digital cable broadband group and at Hughes Electronics, on various satellite and cellular infrastructure projects around the globe. Rami was a co-founder of TechWadi, a leading non-profit organization building bridges between Silicon Valley and the Arab world.  In addition to earning an MBA from MIT Sloan and an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Rami has a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia. At MIT, Rami was the recipient of the McGovern Entrepreneurship Award presented annually to an individual student or student team that has made a significant impact on the quality, visibility, and overall spirit of entrepreneurship education and support across the Institute.
