Mhammed Abbad Andaloussi

Mr Mhammed Abbad Andaloussi, a former Moroccan banker, works to improve the quality of the Moroccan education system through the involvement of the private sector.

In 1999, he launched the NGO “Al Jisr” meaning the bridge that mobilizes businesses to adopt schools in order to upgrade their facilities and equipments.

In 2007, he launched the NGO “Injaz Al Maghrib” that mobilizes businesses to stimulate the entrepreneurial spirit of youth through the implementation of Junior Achievement programs on entrepreneurship, financial literacy and life skills in secondary schools and universities. He succeeded in involving 75 partners providing financial contributions and Volunteers to deliver these programs.

Mr Andaloussi is Ashoka Fellow, a Synergos Senior Fellow, Schwab Foundation Social Entrepreneur and Board Member of PNB NAPEO Morocco. He won “ the Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2010 Award for MENA conferred by Schwab Foundation and the World Economic Forum and the Clinton Global Citizen Award on September 2011.

In 2011, his project Partnership School Business won the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) Award.

In 2012, his Injaz project was featured in the WISE book among 15 best practices in Education for Work.

In 2013, the Injaz project won a MetLife Foundation Entrepreneurship Award under the title  “How the world’s most influential change agents mobilize for action”, President Clinton cited INJAZ Al Maghrib in the article published in the TIME Magazine on Sept 30th, 2013.
