Board Member at Association Marocaine d'Intelligence Economique (AMIE)

After graduating from the Stern School of Business at NYU with a dual degree in Finance and Management and Organizational Behavior Leyth started his career with Deloitte Consulting in New York specializing in Governance and Reorganization. After participating in and leading governance projects for large U.S. multinationals, Leyth left New York for Beijing  where he founded “Enoteca”, a company specializing in the sale and promotion of wines based on the experience of the Art of Living. In July 2006, Leyth returns to Morocco to join and run Diana Holding, the family’s agro-industrial conglomerate and 7th largest private group in Morocco, where he launched a major restructuring project. This initiative resulted in significant improvements in the company’s financial performance and its business sustainability. After nearly 7 years as CEO and putting the group on the path to internationalization, especially in Africa, Leyth took a step back from the family business and resigned from his position as CEO and Vice-Chairman of Diana Holding.

Today, in the continuity of the socially driven action that marked his time at Diana Holding, Leyth is working on the creation of the first Venture Philanthropy Organization in the MENA region with a dual approach. On one side Eiréné Enterprises, a high impact investment fund, the first of its kind in the region, focusing on profitable social enterprises and socially driven businesess in Africa. On the other side the Iltizam Foundation (Commitment or Engagement in Arabic) which was created in early 2012 and aims to contribute to the economic and social development of Morocco, as well as all partner countries, thru the promotion of citizen engagement and action especially in education and small social, economic and associative entrepreneurship.

Leyth is also a board member of the Moroccan Association for Economic Intelligence (AMIE), a member of the Bureau of the Moroccan-Turkish Council within la CGEM (Moroccan Business Association), chairman of the AMB (Moroccans Association for Soft Drinks) and is involved in several social organizations and associations both in Morocco and abroad.
