Johan Bender Koch
Co-founder of FreeBike ProjectJohan is a Danish born entrepreneur with professional experience introducing innovative advertising solutions to the marketplace. He has an educational background In Business Administration and Economics from Copenhagen Business School (CBS) and University of Southern California (USC). Outside of the MIT GSW fellowship he is part of Kairos Society and the Draper University network.
In 2011, during an exchange program at USC, Johan founded FreeBike Project with a fellow Danish student. The project’s vision is to provide students with free access to green transportation and to help advertisers effectively engage and spread their message to college students. The company launched at USC in 2013 and has grown to 17 campuses in the first year of operation. As a social venture, FreeBike Project has also helped send 100 bikes to children in the Philippines in 2013 and is hoping to support greater contributions in the future.
His vision is to keep, build, and grow great businesses and experience as much of the world as possible.
