After seeing the need for a platform that connects universities, students and graduates, Iba Masood co-founded Gradberry.com in 2011 with Syed Ahmed, as a recent university graduate. Gradberry.com is the leading careers network for internships, freelance positions and graduate jobs in the Middle East. The network connects over 100,000 students, graduates, employers and universities, through social recruitment. Clients include Google, IBM, Philips and over 1,600 SMEs. The Fruit Bowl, gradberry’s career blog, provides career resources to support and facilitate the job search experience for students and new grads. Gradberry.com is now crossing over 3 million page views, worldwide. The Gradberry Academy, launched in 2013, aims to educate the community with skills in new and emerging industries. Current courses available are in social media, SEO, SEM, Google analytics and web design.
Iba Masood is a recipient of the Arabian Business “Young Achiever of the Year” award, has written for the Huffington Post on Youth unemployment, and was recently awarded the Cartier Laureate for the MENA Region. Iba is also one of the 30 most influential individuals under the age of 30 in the Middle East, as awarded by Gulf Business. She has also spoken at several events on youth employment and the power of social media in entrepreneurship at the Arab International Women’s Forum, and is currently known as one of the leaders in the digital marketing industry in the MENA region, after winning several accolades for Gradberry.com.
