Bouthayna Iraqui-Houssaïni
Former President, Morroccan Association of Women Entrepremeurs (AFEM)

Entrepreneur, former member of NIR (National Coalition of Independent), Vice President of the Club and Past President of AFEM (Association of CTF of Morocco). She was also a member of the Supervisory Board Banque Populaire for 18 years.

 

Bouthayna Iraqui-Houssaïni is in her 50s, is married and has three children. She leads the three companies she created: society Locamed since 1990 ORTHOPROTECH since 2000, and AKR Managment.

 

Bouthayna Iraqui-Houssaïni earned a doctorate in pharmacy at Paris XI in 1983. She trained in entrepreneurship with MSI (International Managment System) as part of UNCTAD Empretec. She joined the ‘Master trainer’ program in Morocco in 2003. In 2008 she obtained the certificate of the ASPEN Institute France for training “Young Political Leaders.”

 

She has twenty years of experience in the nonprofit sector: the union of pharmacists in the creation of the National Association of Jet-ski. She participated in the Arab Network of Heads of companies in the MENA region in 2000. She is a founding member of the MENA BWN.

 

She integrated AFEM few months after its creation in 2001. She was the regional Chair and Vice Chair and she was the 2006-2009 National President. She is then nicknamed the “Patroness of Patronesses!”

 

During her tenure working with a cohesive and motivated team around, the fundraising was multiplied by 5 times. The association was structured by giving it appropriate standing and won the 9001Version ISO 2000 certification. She implemented the first incubator in the MENA region “Casa Pioneers” which houses 41 companies created by women, launches “Rabat pioneer” and prepares to “Fez pioneer.”

 

Meanwhile, she successfully launched a socially responsible project Reshaping, which is designed to improve the employability of young graduates unemployed girls.

 

In 2005, a handful of women entrepreneurs from Arab countries including Ms. Iraqui launched the project to create a network in the region. In 2008 the MENA Business Women Network MENA BWN was finally born. It now already has 22,000 members!

 

In July 2009, she embarked on a new adventure with distinguished business leaders such as the President of “Morocco telecom”, the first telephone company, the association Club
