Alex Guo
PhD Student, MIT EECS
Alex Guo is a fourth year PhD student in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department at MIT. She received her B.S. with honors from UC Berkeley in 2010 and S.M. from MIT in 2012, both in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Alex is a NDSEG research fellow and she works for Prof. del Alamo in the Microsystems Technology Laboratories at MIT. She is currently investigating the physics of breakdown voltage in GaN power electronics. Alex currently served as the Vice President of MIT Graduate Student Council President representing the position of the student body to MIT administrators. In her spare time, Alex enjoys hanging out with friends, eating out, dancing, and practicing power yoga.
 
This is Alex’s second year on the GSW organizing team. She was part of the marketing team and the Fashion Panel organizer for GSW 2013 in Estonia.
