Funding is a cornerstone of every venture and the fuel for an entrepreneur’s vision. The goal of the “Inside Funding” series is to expose the budding entrepreneurs present at GSW Morocco to the basics of funding and to raise awareness of the tools and sources available in the MENA region in the words of global entrepreneurs/VCs.
The first session will provide an overview of the various sources one has at their disposal for fundraising specifically when they are a budding startup taking into consideration both the entrepreneur’s perspective and that of investors. Our panelists will share their experiences fundraising and investing in early stage start-ups as well as raise awareness of fundraising in the MENA region. Additionally, the goal of the panel is to educate attendees on the elements of successful venture pitches.
The second session will provide an overview of the various sources one has at their disposal for fundraising, such as venture financing, traditional banks, angel investing and corporate funding. We aim to present the various fundraising avenues available to entrepreneurs both at nascent stages of a venture as well as while scaling up their companies. The panel consists of entrepreneurs as well as thought-leaders well versed in traditional and non-traditional sources of funding.
