Hanzade Doğan Boyner is currently Chairwoman of Doğan Online and Doğan Gazetecilik, Vice Chairwoman of Doğan Holding and Hürriyet Newspaper. As former Chairperson of Petrol Ofisi, she also pursues Doğan Holding’s interests in the energy sector.

After graduating from LSE, Hanzade Doğan Boyner commenced her professional career at Goldman Sachs London’s CMT department as a financial analyst. She earned her MBA from Columbia University. In 1999, Doğan founded Turkey’s leading Internet company, Doğan Online. In 2003, she became CEO of Doğan Gazetecilik, which has the highest selling daily, Posta, in its portfolio. In 2006, she played a leading role in forming a strategic partnership, at Petrol Ofisi, between Doğan Holding and Central Europe’s leading oil and gas company, OMV.

She is the founding member and Vice Chairwoman of Global Relations Forum, Vice President of World Association of Newspapers. Doğan is also a member of several business, trade organizations and think tanks including the Brookings Institute International Advisory Council, European Council on Foreign Relations, Foreign Economic Relations Board, Association of Turkish Businessmen and Industrialists, Young Presidents’ Organization and Association of Woman Entrepreneurs. A philanthropist, Doğan is the patron of “Daddy Send me to School” campaign that aims to remove economic and cultural barriers to girls’ education in Turkey. The campaign raised the necessary funds to grant 10,500 scholarships and to build 33 girls’ dormitories across Turkey.

She was a keynote speaker at the 2012 MIT GSW which was hosted in Istanbul, Turkey.
