Bachelor in Chemistry – UFMG with a five years research experience as an undergraduate. Carla, as a member of Bio-fiend, entered a business plan for the technology developed during her research and won first place in the following business plan competitions: I2P Latin America/2011 – SP, I2P Global/2011 – Sweden and MIT GSW BPC Showcase/2012 – Turkey. The company, later renamed E-POL, was a finalist in MassChallenge – Boston as the first Brazilian team selected. The intense 4-month program included workshops, lectures and events on entrepreneurship and startups, business plan development and general business training, beyond network opportunities.
